Sports Vision Training
McDonald Eye Care is trained in Sports Vision Training for players in a group or individual setting. Sports Vision Training is a great tool to get your player to the next level in sports and in academics. We believe in Sports Vision Training and the benefit that it has to athletes. They have different sports vision trianing programs to choose from. Below is an example of programs they offer.

SPORTS VISION
Improvement of Dynamic Visual Skills
In athletics your body struggles to do most of the work; your lungs pump, muscles contract, extremities move, and as a result your body reacts. During participation in sports your mind receives an infinite number of signals telling your body what to do. This transfer of information happens many times per second through a system called visual processing. When the eye does not perceive the correct information Sports Vision Therapy can be used to increase the sharpness of this transfer of information. Sports vision therapy also addresses other visual skills vital to sports such as hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
At McDonald Eye Care Associates - Visual Performance Center our sports vision therapists take an individualized team approach to enhance your visual performance. Working as a team with doctors, family and staff we will provide the best care possible to enhance your athletic vision performance. We are dedicated to providing you with up-to-date techniques and technology to achieve this goal.
We offer group and one-on-one in season and off season training sessions. We are conveniently located in Lakeville near the Ames Ice Arena off of Kenwood Trail West.

Sports Vision Therapy Testimonials
My daughter Kallie has just finished her 14th week of vision therapy with Dean for helping correct her lack of focusing, depth perception and eye teaming. The results so far are exciting for her as well as for us. The weekly vision treatments along with "vision homework" are not only improving her vision for day to day life, but it has also stepped her ability on the hockey rink as a goalie.
With gaining strength over her visual system, we feel it has really improved her sight of the puck, focus in hockey, as well as her reaction to make quick saves. In turn, the more saves she has, the more her confident grows!
